The Medical Tourism Association certifications/designations are valid for 3 years and require 10 hours of continuing education each year in order to maintain the designation. After every three years, CMTP/CMTS students must submit the list of 10 CE courses that they took (either online or live at the Congress) along with the $250 renewal application fee.
Up to 10 hours of Continuing Education credits can be earned free of charge here at the World Medical Tourism Congress (WMTC), or can be taken online at www.medicaltourismcertification.com for $300 for 5 hours of credit. CE requirements are as follows:
HOW TO CLAIM CE CREDITS FROM WMTC SESSIONS
- Log onto www.medicaltourismcertification.com
- Click on the name of the session you attended and then press the “Launch Course” button
- Use the Continue button in the bottom right to progress until you reach the screen asking you for a CMV code. Code will be given at the Congress.
- Complete the one question exam which asks you to confirm your attendance at the given session
A certificate will be emailed to you showing your compliance and your Continuing Education Transcript will be updated at the end of the month to reflect your CE completion status. Your transcript may also be found under the CEU tab along with available online courses should you require or wish to take more training.
